U.S. Army veteran Darwoosh Ivanoff of Norristown, Pa. is a 2021 recipient in the Philadelphia region. Ivanoff served from 1982 to 1994 and was a witness to history when the Berlin wall came down, reuniting East and West Germany. Miles served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 as part of the 1st Marine Air-Wing. West Shore Home provided Miles with a brand new, easy step-in shower with grab bars and a built-in seat for safety. Reavis is a Purple Heart recipient and was stationed in Kuan Tri Valley in North Vietnam from June 1968 to February 1969. After serving his country, Reavis spent 40 years as a high school football coach. West Shore Home has provided Reavis with a therapeutic walk-in tub and two additional grab bars for safety. In the Raleigh region, U.S. Navy veteran Jim Watson of Aberdeen is a 2021 West Shore Home Baths for the Brave recipient. Watson served in Vietnam and witnessed the fall of Saigon when he was just 17 years old. He has received multiple military accolades including the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and Sea of Service Ribbon. In the Atlanta region, U.S. Army veteran Mike Harris of Fairburn is a 2021 West Shore Home Baths for the Brave recipient. Harris served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1989. He was injured during a training incident in Germany when his gas tanker went off an embankment and rolled over several times.
